Guppie's NJ Fishing Web - Steady Pick 12-6-09

Started by Gillikins this morning and did nothing, not like yesterday. Started to go down the beach and hit a soft spot and burried the truck to the axels. Last time I got stuck was 15 years ago. Thanks to Mike and Jess we got it out
As for the fishing it was a good day or bad day depending on who you ask. ( Hint; don't ask Jess)I had bass on an AVA, teaser and clams. Saw quite a few shorts on my way down the beach so there were fish around. The clams I was using were rancid week old ones, guess to the bass they age like fine wine.
There was a pretty strong current from north to south but with the wind changing to almost direct west that should slow down.
I heard they were getting some bass at Gillikins later but I was tired and went out 23 just in case it was true. If anyone is going out now I would try Gillikins first. Don
