Hi Guys .
Today it was absolutely gorgeous on the beach I had shorts on.
Holding easy with a 8 oz sinker, the ocean had cleaned up lots ,but lots of
logs and garbage in the water yet, not much of a current at all.
Only area 23 south was open at Island Beach State Park.
I was told at Gillikins and area 7 access to the beach is closed due to
a big drop at the exit on to the beach.
We did loose much of the dunes.
The sand was like driving on a pavement road.
I did see a few shorts caught on clams from area 23 south and a few 23
north.
keepers were caught this morning at A-21 at Island Beach State Park in
the back of the bay, nothing in the inlet from the beach was caught.
Seaside Park is a mess, most exits to the beaches were just mountains of
sand.
It looks as if we had a giant snow storm, which we all know was a sand storm.
With all the problems we have with our dunes some people were sitting on the
Dunes, walking on them, this should not be allowed.
We had more then enough beach at low tide, big enough for a three ring circus.
Actually the beach it self was extremely clean except for by the dunes,
lots of garbage in that area..a few bundles of line , netting and wire were in three areas south of 23
We did lose lots of the dunes, I mean lots .
In my opinion I think the striper fishing will turn on tomorrow, most might be on
clams, but fishing lures and metal would be possible it will happen, we did not
have a strong current as I thought it was going to be .
Be careful tomorrow while fishing, as I said there are many of logs
washing around in the wash, you would not want to get hit with one.
Hope this report will encourage some who can fish tomorrow to get out
there.
Remember area 21 on the bay side at Island Beach had some nice bass
fishing this morning.
Good Luck To All And Good Night.
