Hi Guys & Gals
We did manage to get to Island Beach State park this afternoon.
To be honest with you all I just had my third operation on my leg Friday, it was not pleasant at all.
We stayed for about two hours at Island Beach, spoke to many friends.
This is the scoop.
Albacore has been around for about two days, we witnessed 5 Keeper fluke and a lot of shorts being caught in the inlet.
A report from reliable angler's, they had small blues in the pocket along with a few short stripers this morning.
The inlet is loaded with spearing, a few anglers were netting the spearing and doing well with the fluke.
One angler was using live kellies and we witness him getting some shorts and two nice 19 -19!/2" fluke which went in his box.

Lots of herring on the ocean side.

In Lavallette yesterday some decent size bluefish made it close to the surf.
Seems like fishing is going to shape up, unless we get another storm.
The ocean was calm and as clean as it's going to get, holding with a 5-6 oz sinker.
I hope this report will help some of you great anglers out.
The beach was a bit deserted again to day.
I guess most of getting their children ready for school, I am sure a bus driver will be to busy as well soon, I hope LOL.
The best of Luck To All.
Guppie
