Hi Guys & Gals.
We fished Gillikins to the North Jetty this morning.
It seems like last night the tide from Gillies to the inlet was all the
way up to the dunes.
Lots of brown slime up near the dunes.
Lots of grass, the ocean was dirty but fishable in my opinion, if you
have patience to play with the grass it was ok, if you don't like cleaning your
lines every time you pulled it in your fine .
At high tide this morning the grass was terrible for bait fishermen, at low
tide it did not seem bad in some areas.
Don was fishing for fluke and hooked a throw back, fishing for fluke was not
bad at all.
The ocean was pretty dirty, rough currents mainly at high tide, you needed
a 8 oz to a 10 oz sinker to hold.
As far as the weather it sure was a gorgeous day.
We saw lots of birds working at the tip of the jetty about 12 PM, no one
fishing the North jetty this morning.
Many anglers were fishing the inlet at Island Beach , between 9 AM and
12 PM no fish other then small sea bass were being caught there.
I don't like reporting for the weekend because I don't want the blame for a
slow business, but if any action should start I sure will post ASAP.
If you want to catch fish you must put the time in to it if and when you can,
I do see lots of people just hanging out, one man had 5 poles out Wednesday
afternoon ,he was sleeping on the sand in the middle of these poles?????
The Best of Luck To All.
Guppie & Don
