We spent the morning on Island Beach from 6:am-12 PM, a ton of rain fish every where, some right in the wash, no fish on them.
it was just non stop with schools and schools drifting in and out from Gillikins to area 23.
About 11 AM a few bluefish were busting water, it would only last a few minutes with in reach.
about 9 Am beyond a casting distance we had big blues busting water on the rain fish, no blues in close.
When we left the beach about 12 PM the bait was still there.
Hopefully we'll get some action.
many anglers were fluke fishing this morning, with only a few reports of some shorts caught and released.
No action this morning or early afternoon in the inlet today so far any ways .
I did not report yesterday because there was nothing to report.
The ocean was clean, calm and clear, holding with a 5 oz sinker easy.
The weather was absolutely gorgeous today.
In my opinion it was looking good, I feel we might have a good chance of some blues hitting the surf if this bait fish stays around, ( Solid RainFish)
