Hi Guys & Gals.
I had many important things to do today, so I sent Don to IBSP after getting
reports that bluefish hit the surf.
Many schools of rain fish were right at your feet.
The bluefish action started about 8 Am lasted about till about 10 AM.
The bluefish were scattered in different areas chasing rain fish.
At high tide the bluefish just vanished, but the rain fish were still hugging
close to the suds.
This tells me the bluefish were trapping them in and not feeding because of
all the bait they have already feasted on, ( Full tummy's.
Don left Island Beach about 5-6 PM, the rain fish were still present with nofish on them, I spoke to many anglers that said after 6 PM the blues did not
show up again.
This can be a early morning event.
We'll be heading out tomorrow early morning about 5:00AM, If I can get some
one to post a up to the minute report in my forums while we are at the beach
I'll do so if any action happens.
The Ocean was calm and clean, ocean temperature was about 67 degrees.
Hopefully this bait will stick around.
I did get reports that some anglers fished the Asbury park area and had good
bluefish action yesterday, maybe we'll see more bait around.
The best of Luck To All.
