Hi Guys & Gals.
We hit Island Beach State park this morning about 7;00 AM, fished Gillikins for a few hours, fishing conditions were terrible, We could not hold bottom with a 10 oz sinker, lots of Mussels and sea weed. Along with a rough sea, a strong current.
The lines lasted in the water for about 10 minutes till we had to keep bring it in from half way down the beach, they just kept washing in. .
About 8 AM Don hooked a 25" striper, after that it was dead.

The wind was blowing N-N West about 15-20, the sun was in and out .
Lots of rough currents today.
We decided to head out to the inlet hoping maybe we'll have some bluefish action, it was fishable in the inlet but no fish today any way. We lasted about a half hour, spoke to the anglers who have been out there since sun up and no one had any luck.
We decided to drive a little north of the inlet about 11 AM, the tide was going out pretty quick due to the new moon.
We fished bunker and clams, still lots of seaweed and not even a nibble.
About 12 PM we decided to take a ride North of 23 by jess and chat for a while, he said the same, not a nibble, lots of eel Grass and sea weed

. All In All It was a pretty decent day as far as the weather, not a drop of rain all morning , flies were not to bad, they would come and go, not many but enough to be annoying . So Far no rain here in Toms River.
The Best Of Luck To All.
Guppie & Don
