Hi Guys & Gals.
To be honest with you all my winter was not the greatest, October I had
surgery on my back, I mean major, November I fell asleep with a heating pad on
my back, being numb from the surgery I had a bad beyond a third degree burn on
my back, February I had to have a major opera ration again on the burn, then I
just had a mass taken off my left leg April 20th, it was kind of hard for me to
sit for a while and still is.
I am on the road to recovery, not fully but a lot better then it has
been.
I am sorry if I let some of you anglers down by not doing a daily report, but
to be honest there was not much to report till this week.
Don & I hit the beach a few times this weekend, scoring with short
stripers 21"- 27 3/4 ".
Poppy ( Bill was out today with us and hooked three stripers up to 27 1/2
".
Black fish was red hot today on the tip of the North Jetty, most anglers were
using small pieces of clams.
On the south end of the inlet LBI, I don't know what these anglers were
hooking up with , to me it looked like bluefish.
Striper fishing has been it's best before sun up, , on the out going tide and
just before dark.
A few keepers in between, I would say for every 15 shorts one keeper,
just my opinion, and from the information I have bee getting from reliable
anglers and seeing what I have been seeing.
It's a matter of day when these 3-5 lb. bluefish are going to hit the surf or
inlet.
It's hard for some of you guys and gals who have to work and have other
things to do which at times are more important then fishing for some, but you
must put the time in when you can.
I am just here to pass along fishing information for those who can make it to
the beach.
The Best Of Luck To All You Great Anglers , Please Stay Safe ,Happy
Healthy and Be Careful, Enjoy Life To Your Fullest.
Guppie & Don.
