With the weekend coming tomorrow, I am sure a good amount of anglers would most likely head to try getting some last minute fish in.
if your going to head down first of all check some of the local bait shops if your planning on fishing with clams.
Second of all your best shot is to use anything that looks like sand eels (imitations), maybe using them with a ava, a block rubber of a black teaser, retreive slowly.
We still have a ton of sand ells on the bars.
I did get a few reports that shorts are being caught along with a few fish 28-32", most caught on imitation sand eels. We are palnning on taking a ride tomorrow, hopefully the weather is not bad, todays N-East should have got some action moving, not to mention the ocean water is now 45 degrees.
We all still have a crack at some action.
Thank goodness the gas prices came down, all summer to fill our tank it cost a little over $60.00, it's now hal;f the price and much more affordable for us .
