Hi Guys & Gals,
We took a ride to the North Jetty this afternoon.
Great black fishing action started as far as I know Friday, this came from the best sources I know.

before I posted it I felt a bit better going to check conditions out my self so I can be sure 100%, it was and is a fact that the black fishing which are also called toug has been great, almost every one who was out had one keeper, one angler said he has to release many keepers, the bag limit is 1 fish per day, what a shame.
Many anglers were digging up sand fleas and do Rather well catching and releasing, some were fishing with green crabs.
We left in a hurry hoping to beat the traffic leaving, we had high winds , rain , thunder and lighting, through all this we were stuck in some heavy traffic coming out of IBSP, it took us almost an hour to get through IBSP and mid way beach.
It was not a good site on the north Jetty, while some of the die hard anglers were fishing and hooking up just before the storm came through, stayed on the north Jetty with Rain the lighting and thunder, Guys Please that's a no no, no fish is worth risking your life.

I did see a few keeper fluke caught as well.
I was told (second hand information) a few short stripers and Bluefish were also caught, I was not there long enough to witness this at all, I do believe it was true.
As far as I know not to much action on the beach.

My great friends and fellow anglers Beechykeen and her husband Joe had a 2 Nice Toug , I did see the fish but it started to pour out and I wanted to get out of the rain, I never got the chance to get a picture.,

What I am saying , I was there for less then an hour and did see over 7 black fish come off the North Jetty.
Action started early morning and it was just about a non stop event, fish were caught from the inlet to the end of the tip of the north jetty.
I did see a angler pulling in a nice black fish, right in the inlet where we park, this was funny, it was 15"and he caught some one's rig who lost the fish on that persons rig, his hook came in clean, weird and strange how lucky one can get LOL, in any event it was nice to see many anglers enjoying the day catching and even releasing .
Nice Work Gays & Gals.
Good Luck
Guppie

I am posting pictures now.
Sorry about no reports yesterday, I was busy from 6 AM- 5 PM with a yard sale, did rather well but the heat wore me out, it was almost a non stop event for me.

it's still raining hard here in Toms River, the air tenp dropped to 65 degrees in less tthen an hour, as well as it dropped on the beach quick.

Ocean Temp 64 Drgrees today .
