Hi Guys & Gals.
First of all I want to thank you John, My web master for getting this information out to all.
we got snagged for the board and the fire Fire Extinguisher, We had to leave and go to the old Grumps for both items.
I have been told they gave summons out last month to anglers right on the beach which is a $75.00 fine, the rules are the rules, which I have to say I did have 5 Fire Extinguishers in the past 30 years never had to use one yet, they rusted , I don't feel safe having one in my truck with the heat at times., a board, We had the same board for 25 years a 8x 16 which no one ever questioned, we helped many anglers who were stuck with this board, with out any problems, and will continue to keep it in my truck along with the piece of crappy 12x 12 ply wood they want you to have, they are being very stern with these regulations because a few trucks and campers I was told did not indeed have a spare tire.
And remember no grills going by the inlet now, they inforced this as well,

I'll do a quick report after dinner .
Guppie

Again John Thank you for the post and for all your support .

Just got a phone call from Guppy who asked me to warn everyone that they have set up a check point over at Island Beach State Park and are checking everyone driving on the beach to see if they have the required safety equipment on board. Don't expect to just get a warning either as they are giving out plenty of summonses.
The following eleven (11) items are MANDATORY in order to drive a 4 X 4 on the beach:

1. Fishing Equipment (rod & reel), Tackle/Bait for each person over the age of 12!
2. Tire Pressure Gauge
3. Full size Spare Tire
4. Workable Jack plus a support board (3/4" x 12" x 12" minimum)
5. Tow Chain or Snatch Line
6. Shovel (Not a plastic toy beach shovel)
7. Flashlight
8. Fire Extinguisher
9. Auto First Aid Kit
10. Litter/Trash Bag (IBSP is Carry In/Carry Out)
11. Minimum of 1/4's tank of Fuel.

By the way, I should mention my name is John and I have working behind scenes with Guppy for the last year on two maintaining the server that hosts this website. Personally I'd rather be the one on the beach fishing, but that's life...
