Hi Guys & Gals.
We returned to Island Beach around 4 PM, We decided to check the inlet out, it was pretty quiet for a short time, many anglers just sitting hanging out chatting, as always one angler picked up his rod and through a buck tail with a yellow worm on the inlet side, Bang; with in minutes he hooked a bluefish about 5 lbs.
before we can see lots of anglers started fishing ?? Ummm Does this tell you something, can’t catch a fish with out wetting your line, a few more blues were caught all in the same range about 4-6 lbs.
The Jetty again turned on with a few nice catches of Black fish, which I heard the black fishing was going good most of the morning and day. What a team out there this afternoon, This angler Wilson who I consider good sportsman ship shared some of his crabs and riggs with another angler Vito, who never caught a black fish before, Vito lands a nice 21” a beauty, Real nice Fish Vito.
Wilson you’re a A+1 fellow Angler a kind warm man, Vito was so excited to hook this fish.
I have been told again that these black fish are real nice size one’s, Please bring along a Gaff, lots of biggies were dropped before landing them.
When fishing the inlet for bluefish, I highly recommend bringing along either a long handle Gaff or a long handle Net as well., if the water is low your going to lose a fish.
Not much going on at the surf, I heard of lots of skates a few short stripers and a few bluefish on bait chunks.
Guys & Gals, I mean this with all my heart, if you can get out there and fish, enjoy this gorgeous beautiful weather.
I just added 4 pictures to my April remix, I call it my brag remix
The Best Of Luck To All You Great Anglers Out there.
Guppie & Don .
