I was told by a few anglers who took a ride to both north jetty and Island Beach State park yesterday as well as graveling point, due to the cold weather picking up it did not seem like many anglers were interested in fishing as expected with the cold weather and lack of fish and of course the high gas prices.
it just seems like the fishing slowed down, last fish I know was caught on Wednesday at graveling point, as far as I was told the only keeper so far this year that was weighed in.
I still say hopefully by April 15th the fishing will pick up, that’s if the weather does not give us a cold problem, We all need mother nature to warm us up a bit, a good 50-60 degrees air temperature would be great with a N-east wind.

Our Ocean temp took a drop this weekend to 43 degress, today will not help out ocean conditions with a south East wind.
Paco took a ride to the south Jetty yesterday fished from 11:00 am – 3 PM only seeing two other anglers out.
I was told that two buggies hung out by the North jetty yesterday with out even wetting a line.
Lack of anglers is very understanding with all the silly regulations and Gas prices.
It just seems like not many anglers will be out hunting for fish right now till they hear of some positive reports and warmer weather conditions.

Don’s truck was recalled and is at the dealer, hopefully we’ll get it back this afternoon, I have no intentions going to IBSP today, for what? The weather is calling for temps in the mid 40s till Saturday, should hit the mid to high 50s on Saturday and Sunday, seems more like my type of weather to go fishing .

If I hear of ant action I will update, til then it is what it is.
