Hi Guys & Gals.
Ocean Temp is up to 43 degrees today.

Before heading out to IBSP, be careful from area 13-16, lots of big drop offs ranging from 3feet- 5 feet, some areas at high tide has some beach erosion as well, mother nature usually takes care of this problem, a stiff North Eastern would most likely do the trick to clean this up, just be careful when or if your going to take an after dark trip out.
A few of my friends did try giving fishing at Island Beach State park a try with out much luck at all, the ocean is still a little cold, now it’s about 44 degrees, slowly getting there.

we all tend to forget when the bluefish and striper action begins each year on the ocean side, usually mid April till late April for stripers, all depend if mother nature wants to give us a warm spring, striper fishing on the bay side can happen any time which the bay warms up before the ocean, and Stripers Are usually spawning late march to mid April in the bay.
As far as Bluefish going by my books any time late April to mid May, this depends on a lot of conditions, when the ocean warms up enough to bring the bait out in to the ocean.

Lets hope mother nature treats us good this year.

. We all know that Oyster Creek has had some good days of fishing for Stripers and a few spotted trout.
Usually Raritan Bay, Manasquan, Point Pleasant, Kings burg fishing pier are the first areas that we’ll get reports on the striper action.

I have to go take care of a very important issue, bb to finish this report, sorry I am late now . Guppie

Sorry for not getting back to all, I had a court date with my friendly neighbor.

To continue with my report, Island Heights is starting to pick up with stripers and perch, you do not need a fresh water license in this area unless your fishing in fresh water where the river begins or ends..
Blood worms seem to be working.
Flounder fishing opens Sunday, if the weather permits, of course it’s Easter Sunday which every one does not celebrate, those who don’t and like fishing for flounder and perch should get out there and flounder fish, the flounder are there along with some nice perch and small stripers, at times it's hit or miss.

The Best of Luck To All & Please Stay Safe,Happy & Healthy
Guppie & Don.
