Hi Guys & Gals.
I apologize for not keep in up with this site from Feb 16trh through this evening, I just returned home, it’s a long story with a good ending, I am home and doing fine and back on my feet just had a few bad weeks.
I have many e-mails to answer which is impossible for me to do so, so please don’t think I am putting any of you great anglers off.

Tomorrow is March 1st which I promised to start my fishing reports which I do need a few days to get up some of my good strength and back to my active self. Now we all need the weather and Stripers to cooperate, which in my opinion won’t start till at least the middle of the month.
Many anglers E-mailed me and asked me if I can give my opinion as to where to start fishing in this area, where would I start, My answer to that would be at graveling point, Island Heights, any where that the water would be in the in the 40’s or above, Cape May, Atlantic City, Creeks, rivers, Bays, sod banks, Piers, Jetties .
Daytime I would use bait, maybe blood worms or clams.
I would also try Fishing early morning, late afternoon before dark.
With My experience and Don’s, Bass fishing usually turns on when the water reaches to at least a temperature of 45.
Any thing below this 45 degree temp I would fish slowly, Bass are still a bit sluggish.
I have been told that the ocean temp is up to 40 degrees.

Like Card Shop said Get out and get those Gulp Bloods Great early bait.
I Have received E-Mails that IBSP Will not be allowing anglers to fish at night and the park will be closed to all anglers, so far this is just a big rumor, if true, I think lots of problems will become to that so called I hope is a rumor, In my opinion I think it’s Bull.

Like Guppie always would end her Reports.

Always Remember !
Yesterday is history.
Tomorrow a mystery.
Today is a gift.
That's why it's called the present!

Good friends are like stars.
You don't always see them
but you always know they are there !
The Best of Luck To All & Please Stay Happy & Healthy
Guppie & Don.

TIPS

Have pre made rigs On hand Sinkers, fish finders, swivels.

A tackle box stocked with the necessary tools?
A five-gallon bucket with a top for a seat is very useful.
Sharpen your hooks.
Use the bucket for gear and or bait, surf bag to hold your favorite tackle, leaders, plugs, lures etc
Travel light, you can cover good distances without dragging along excess baggage. Lunker lights, a Digital scale measuring tape, pliers, a knife, chair, camera, lantern, sand spikes and waders when needed, rain gear when raining,
Not to mention if your going to sit and bait fish, on a cold windy day, bring along a wind breaker,
Bring along something to munch on, water or cool drinks on a hot day, Suntan lotion and above all on a day when the wind is blowing west, bring along bug spray, a must.
Bring along an extra set of clothing in case you get wet on a cold day, and a beach towel.

If you plan to fish a beach that you can drive onto, then obviously you can bring more gear.

A board, a tire gauge & a tow strap, shovel, I don't mean a plastic one., some just by a plastic shovel just for the pass, all these items are extremely important when driving on the beach ..
Check out the area you plan to fish in the daytime and at low tide. Look for structure and other things like piers, pilings, rocks, turbulence, Cuts, Troughs, bait in the water and feeding birds. Be prepared a head of time, the chances of catching the bigger fish you hear the other guys talk about will be much greater, put the time in to fishing.

Don't always depend on a fishing reports, let these reports be your guide
If your home and reading these reports of fish being caught in areas, it's likely by the time you get down to where the fish "WERE" being caught, more then likely the blitz has moved to another location.
One other thing, never shine a light of any kind on the water where other anglers are fishing, some do believe this will indeed spook the fish.
Always help a fellow angler out when in need, what comes around goes around ..
Good Luck Fishing.
