Hi Guys & Gals.
I sincerely apologize for keeping you all on hold with a weekend report, it was a real busy week for me, mentally and physically I was total exhausted.
between the Thanksgiving holiday and I had planned a sale this weekend, I did not think it was going to be a busy as it was, it was non stop, that was the physical part, the Mental part was last week when we came home from the beach, that morning I left my garage door open, Don found that some kind of an animal was in the garage, I foolishly neglect to check My shop, I did wake up about 2 AM in the morning Tuesday to double check, I heard a little noise But could not hear another peep.
If I had used my head I should have put some water out and turned on the heat which I was thinking about doing, instead I had to go late shopping and forgot.
Yesterday As I was cleaning out the shop getting ready for a sale, at 7 AM, I found a 5 month old Kitty dead all cuddled up in a old Towel I had left in the shop dead, it ruined me, a beautiful little gray Kitty.
So Last night I just wanted to sleep it off I was in bed at 7 PM.

Again I apologize.

We all did not miss much at all, many anglers told me the same story, at times birds were active behind reach in scattered areas , bait out far, no signs of any Stripers, as many brave die hard anglers fished the bitter cold mornings, some till late nights, 99 % reports were shorts, a few in between, you had to plug your little hearts out.

Many anglers wade the sand bars where the birds were working, IMHO (I My Humble opinion) I really don’t think we’ll see to much action unless we have a few days of a N-east wind to WARM the surf temperature up, Now remind you I am talking about surf fishing, not boats, the boats have a better chance then we surf anglers do, the deeper the water the warmer.

With this steady west wind we are having it tends to lower the ocean temperature, an east wind will always bring the surf temperatures up a bit.

The stripers are around, but when the ocean gets to a certain degree these stripers get real finicky and lazy they are finicky to begin with.

Not to mention the constant west wind and a full moon makes the oceans low tides extremely low, the high tides extremely high, but with the west wind pushing the water out at high tide, this make it a bit lousy for surf fishing.
I wish I can say Get out and kick some bass, I think you better stay in & warm your A$$ because baby it’s cold out there.
With any luck maybe we all can hope for better fishing before it’s over, so far IMHO, I think it can be a short winter for fishing if the weather continues to be cold .
