Hi Guys & Gals.
I had 5 different reports of Bass being caught by the pocket @ Island Beach State Park, it was said by Paco which hooked a 28 ½ “ & a 32 “ Striper on Rons Glitter plug popper.
Paco Claims there was a short Bass blitz which had peanut bunker pinned again the rocks, I Spoke to a few others who said there was no blitz but lots of stripers were indeed caught. Some new anglers have never been in a bluefish blitz or a bass blitz, so just because they saw lots of bait and Bass being caught , they might think it’s a blitz.
A real blitz is when you have fishing breaking, Bass rolling all over the place right at you feet, bait beaching, and just about every one is hooked up.
The water actually looks like it’s bubbling.
Please if any one was by the north Jetty between 5 PM – 6:30 PM tonight , please e-mail me and confirm this, The problem is I had mixed reports, there is no reason why Paco would make up a story, it’s babbling my brain a bit, for I was not there to say this is true or false..
Robert Mc Ginely called me about 5:30 & said He was in to a nice bluefish blitz, Bob is one of the most reliable sources I must believe him, he sure as hell knows what a blitz is , He’s been in plenty, He’s a top notch angler with no questions asked about his reports He was in a real nice bluefish blitz North of the pocket, bluesfish ranged from 2-4 lbs about, towards the end the fish were busting water right at his feet, tons of peanut Bunker.
We’ll be out tomorrow for the most part of the day hopefully till just before dark.
