Hi Guys & Gals.
Croakers have hit the suds at night , mainly just before dark and after.
Anglers are fishing with small hooks on a high low rig.
Small blues hit the inlet at Island Beach State Park yesterday, not blitzing by all means but did get some anglers busy.
A ton of spearing were just hugging the rocks even at low tide, with snappers busting right in front of you .
The small blues finally ended up traveling in the back of Island Beach State Park. I was told that : Now this is hear say that in Monmouth county there has been some good striper action at night and early morning, this came from an extremely reliable source, most are shorts, but hey what the heck it’s great for fly fishermen and great for catch and release.
I had a pretty rotten day yesterday spent all day in bed, I finally realize that when my Doc gave me the prescription for Cipro August 11th , I which I never took, I started it yesterday .
The tides are just not right this week for fishing the afternoons, either early morning hours or late afternoons are better to fish, unless the bait decides to move on the ocean side which can happen, but We have to be there.
Hopefully for those who are heading to the shore this weekend you’ll all have a time of your life fishing, for those who have casting nets don’t forget to bring them along, put a note on your refrigerator for a reminder, it might be worth your while to start leaving it in your truck when heading to the shore line .
