Hi Guys & Gals .
We just got back from Island Beach State park, We drove on to area 7 all the way down to the north Jetty, fished with clams a Bunker for a while, then headed north of area 7, We did see a few big schools of bunker, 99% of the time off shore, it seemed as if the boats were getting lucky.
We spent 4 hours fishing , Early this morning being at the right time right place a few nice stripers were caught , after 9 AM it was like nothing but a few bunker coming in just about reaching distance, a few anglers snagged one and nothing took it .
We dorve to area 7 fished a few areas, notta, drove on to Gillies Nothing ,Oh well I guess We were at the wrong place wrong time.
Lots of Bunker were beyond reach , it could happen.
The ocean temperature dropped to a 62 degree mark.
I'm not going to say get out there, I think this fishing going to be an early morning and a late night event if it continues tonight & tomorrow, just another wild guess, it can be good tonight & Tomorrow, use your own judgement , you have to have decent water and fish to get lucky, The Best of Luck To All.
