Hi Guys & Gals.
Timmy day arrived at IBSP about 1:30 PM, we met him at about 2:45 PM, We fished till about 6:45PM with out even a nibble..
Fished with the same piece of clam for three solid hours, not even a crab nibbling . I spoke to many anglers who had not so good luck as well.
The tides are running a bit higher then normal.
Perfect striper water, but no stripers yet, my opinion, get lucky to hook up???
A few friends fished oyster creek area yesterday taking home 4 flounder, Ryan hooked 4 flounder , when his friend Charlie and Ryan’s friend we not so lucky.
Charlie who has a fish finder said lots of bigger fish were showing up, which he said it was all Stripers.
Most flounder in this area are between 14-16 “, not bad at all.
Anglers that were fishing the creek on their boats were hooking up with some stripers.
it was a gorgeous day, till mid afternoon the wind would switch from N-east – N-West , every time the wind would switch to N-East you can feel the cool air, when it switched back to N-west , instantly you’d feel the warmth LOL, it was like the good man up above was testing his air condition system LOL.
I took a picture of some of my salted frozen clam I put up from November & December, if done properly, they keep like fresh clams, I was proud, no garbage, no black yulkies in them, nice color and tuff.>
yesterday it was holding with a 6-8 oz sinker, we had a drift with a 6 oz sinker.>,br> We’ll be back out tomorrow.
At times you may not be happy with my reports, if nothing is happenening from the surf it gets put on, if and when action starts , you'll be the first to know.
My advice, stick to the bays, creeks, sod banks till the ocean temp warms up.
Good Luck to all.
Guppie.
