Hi Guys & Gals.
We took a ride to IBSP this afternoon, the beach was like a ghost town from area 23- the inlet 10 trucks, looking as far down as we can see North from area 23 I did not see another truck in site..
The few anglers that were fishing were hooking up with a few small bluefish.
Nick From Allen Town hooked a bluefish before we got there, as we were pulling up he just lost a bigger one in the wash, and as well as he threw back a 19” striper all on bait .
Other then that we fished the inlet, a few anglers on the North Jetty plugging their hearts away with out any luck other then a couple of small blues .I was told that there is still Weakfish action in the back of Island Beach state Park, maybe around where the old bulk head use to be and further East of the bulk head.just before and after dark.
We did not see any bait on the ocean side, in the inlet there were some small spearing.
The ocean has cleaned up and was pretty calm by 4 Pm, holding with a 5 oz sinker no problem.
A light North East wind, no flies, it was a pretty nice day by the Ocean..
I fish for fluke in the inlet, after a seagull took my bag of bait off my cooler and flew away , the little bugger, we left, no more bait LMAO.
BTW to mention, these seagulls have been doing this a lot all weekend, keep your bait in a bucket covered or keep it in the cooler, they are on Guard just waiting for you to walk away from the bait that is exposed, as soon as you leave the area they make a run for it ..
I hope the picture of the ocean and this report might get some of you anglers out there fishing tomorrow..
Good Luck to all & good night .
Guppie
