Guppie's NJ Fishing Web - Fishing Island Beach State Park Saturday & Sunday 5-27-06 & 5-27-06

We were on the beach sat. about noon and spent the night and left sun About noon
.Did you see the Presidential Helicopter fly down the beach Saturday?
It was awesome. The two helicopters that carry the important people were out about a half-mile, far enough you could not read the print on them. Then three shinook helicopters that carry the limos came by.
Only about 40 feet off the ground. 2 over the wash and 1 right over us on the beach.
They were nice and shiny and spelled out UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS. What a sight.
Didn’t catch any fish then, but moved Sunday morn, and caught 27, & 27 1/2 on incoming tide about 5:45, and 6:15am
. Not very meaty, but had to throw them back anyway.
It was a couple of beautiful days.
It would have been ideal had we not been crowded right off the beach by people who thought our fishing beaches were campgrounds to have parties on. One day hope to meet you, talk to you soon enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Debbie that was one reason why we did not head for the beach this weekend, no place to fish.
yes we did see the helicopters, I got a strange feeling, three in a row, flying low .
Glad you had a good time and caught a few fish, even being shorts, you did better then most anglers.
