Hi Guys & Gals. We just returned from Island Beach State park about 10 minutes ago. it seems to be that these few bass that are being caught is a late afternoon till dark bite or early morning. We did get a few hits and one big hit that's about all. We drove in at area 7 spoke to a f anglers who all witnessed small stripers being caught just right after it got light out. As soon as the tide got high the fishing turned off>
Where were were fishing alltogether right and of us 22 poles, I did not see a fish caught after 9 AM. We drove down to the inlet hung out for a while with some friends, no was was fishing the inlet atall, loads of campers and trucks were there. With the south east wind coming off the water we were all dressed rather warm, it was a bit windy and chilly at Island Beach State Park.
I can bet we'll have bluefish in the inlet from tomorrow till Tuesday, all conditions are perfect. Again a few keeper stripers were caught this morning from the surf on clams. Good Luck To All. Guppie & Don
