Guppies fishing report Hi Guys & Gals.
Yesterday Don & I Hit Island Beach State park from 11:30 AM- 2:30 PM, give or take a few minutes.
At 1 PM Don was fishing clams, had three short stripers up to about 26", after that the tide started to run out and not a nibble, We fished with Jess, Jess plugged his sweet little heart out and fished clams with no luck.
There was a few other anglers just fishing from cut to cut from Gillikins moving south, I did not see any rods bent as far as I can see.
At about 2 PM give or take a few minutes, in Seaside Heights there were lots of birds working the bars, lots of sand eels , plenty anglers fishing artificial with the hopes there might be some fish, but no luck.

In my opinion , I do not believe the season is over.
Lets all hope to this west wind to take a vacation, and A North East wind for a few days, even with the snow, I don't think the fish knew the difference.

The ocean Water Temperature is still at a nice 45 degree, which stripers will continue to feed at.

yesterday the ocean was clean and flat, today might be a different story if the wind picks up to what the nutty weather channels are saying, I don't have much faith with the weather channel reports??.
Last night we had light snow flurries, still not enough to make driving conditions of any concern.
With the hopes my back will be back in shape for the spring, I will be doing a lot of fishing, for two years in a row I did miss out on a lot of great bluefish and Bass fishing, Both Don & I will enter a few fishing tournaments if I feel they are honest ones.
From what I was told a few keeper stripers were weighed in yesterday but caught on a boat in our local area.
These bigger stripers are staying in deeper water a bit off shore.

Get all the clams you can now, salt them down and freeze them, soon, maybe to soon the clamming boats will stop going out, salted clams can be very expensive

Guys and Gals,I mean this with all my heart, My Biggest regret for the fall fishing season was not being able to be on the beach, I missed out on meeting many of you great anglers, I was unable catch many precious fishing moments, all in all I was happy to hear many anglers got in to some good Striper and bluefish action.

This is a funny story to tell you all, Don will agree, The day I took ill in the beginning of November again, Don Brought home a 31" striper and a 28.9 one, If you ever saw the way Don fillets a fish, it's a bit choppy, after all for 30 years I have been filleting the fish, I told him get the fish, I'll fillet it before I go, Don took a fit, but I insisted I'd do it, It just felt good seeing the stripers knowing it was done with out much waste. after doing the job, off to the hospital again for 12 days, yes I do agree I am nutzzzzzzzzzz, but a happy Nut.

Fishing is a big part of my life, I get so much enjoyment out of watching many anglers hooking up, hearing the sound of the Ocean, the smell of the salt water, watching the sunset and sun rise, seeing a beautiful blue sky, watching sail Boats and other boats, watching the birds on the beach, it sure is heaven on earth.
The Best of Luck To All.
Remember don't give up just yet, many Christmas mornings and days after Christmas stripers were caught in the past when all thought it was over, never lose hope.
Guppie & Don
