Hi Guys & Gals. We decided to take a ride to Island Beach State park this morning. Don fished in scattered areas from Gillikins to a little north of area 7 from 9 AM - about 12 PM, we did see three shorts caught on clams and a shark.
i spoke to several anglers who had the same conditions a few in between.
Lots of boats were fishing off shore about a mile out, from what ot looked like they were hooking up and most fish were relased.
I did get reports that north of bayhead they had some pretty good fishing, most shorts. I also got reports that these fish were slowly moving south.
Lots of sand eels are in the area North of Seaside park.
Today as far as pain was one of my best days, hope it lasts and gets better so I can fish a little as well, just waiting for the Doctors OK.We only have one back in a life time, nowis my chance to start taking care of what's left .
Tomorrow it's calling for a North east wind, This might be the day to head out. The ocean temp is back up to 49 degrees, with the N-east it should go up a bit more, this is what we need for action, if it's going to happen. I also got reports that at area 15 and by the North jetty a far distance out the boats seemed like to be picking at a lot of small stripers. All in all in mu opinion it was a spotty day.
card shop and Ryan Hains hooked a few short Stripers on clams, card shop hooked a 3' snad shark on clams.
The Best Of Luck To All. Guppie & Don
