north of Gillikins anglers were fishing the hole there , all fish were on artificial.
we left the beach about 12 PM.
Poppie Bill hooked a striper 28 1/2".
many anglers were out fishing in the morning, as poppie said the fishing was still decent after we left, I spoke to Julia his wife about 4 PM they were still hooking up with stripers, so the afternoon bite even at low tide was decent.
I did see a few dead very small stripers on the beach and two bluefish, Please make sure when you release these fish they do make it back in to the ocean, one baby had to be about a 19" striper dead on the beach, the other about 21", I guess I am a little tender when I see this .
We are heading out about 6 AM just for a short time, I feel before the wind picks up the bite might be good, WOW just wish I was able to fish, I almost grabbed the pole when it started bouncing, when Don was plugging , but He stopped me, the bass was 27", just temptation for me.
I am posting pictures now from October 1st till November17th.
