Hi Guys & Gals.
There are nice cuts and troths at IBSP, we drove to area 23 to the North jetty, and back out at area 7. be careful driving on area 7 south, the water was almost up to the dunes at about 4:30 PM this afternoon, again between area 15-21 the same might be a good idea just to get out tomorrow and fish.
This morning a good amount of stripers were caught on the North Jetty, anglers were using swimming plugs and Shad.
Stripers were caught along the shore line on clams as well, a few keepers.
Most of the action was between area 15-the north Jetty. A few at Gillikins as I was told on clams as well.No signs of any bait or birds working. A few bluefish were also caught in the range of 3-5 lbs, not many but some considering the lack of anglers out this morning.
from area 23 to the Jetty many anglers were out, from area 21 north to area 7 I think we might have passed 7 trucks, and a bunch of kids north of area 7 .
I did see and was lucky enough to get one picture of a 31" striper which was caught on clams, I'll posting pictures soon. The ocean was still a bit rough, it has cleaned up a lot, not chocolate at all, you can see bottom, lots of white wash.some big waves. Holding with a 8 oz sinker at low tide. Is it worth going out tomorrow, I would say go for it . I hope this report helped some of you anglers out there.
The sun was out by the North jetty, the further north you drove the dimmer it got, a lot of fog from area 17-area 7. Also beware of the flying insects, termites are in full force, this is common this time of the year, last for a day or two.
Good Luck Guppie & Don
