Hi Guys & gals. I got back from IBSP about an hour ago, had a few things to take care of .
This is what went on, this morning cocktail blues were caught in the inlet at Island Beach State Park, between area 9 and 16 some fluke were caught , all throw backs. From 5 PM - 7:30 lots of small Sea bass were being caught in the inlet all about 4", all you had to do was drop your line by the rocks , all throw backs, but it was fun. Holding with a 5 oz sinker, the ocean temp was 59 degrees, the ocean was clean and calm. Believe me or not the sun was out from 4 PM Till 8:30 pm, it was absolutely gorgeous out by the ocean. We fished with Timmy, Mike, Steeve, and Lonny, Don & I, a kid called Ryan and his Dad.
The flies were a little bothersome, not many just a few Biiiiiiiiiiiig Green heads I forgot my insect repellant, but Timmy came to my rescue Other then that the beach was deserted.. Good Luck To All And Good Night .
Hope this report was a little helpful. Ryan it was nice seeing you & your Dad again since I have worked at Jersey Joes, don't forget send me those memorial day striper pitures, they were beauties, I still wish we were there that day.
