Hi Guys & Gals. This morning at the peak of high tide in the inlet @ Island Beach State Park Bluefish hit the inlet again, Buck tails with a white worm was the key, most blues that are being caught is an average weight of 3-7 lbs. Gillikins was a bit slow as far as Striper fishing, a few shorts were caught on Fresh clams.
Some bluefish action from the surf using chunk bait, , just a fish here and there. Holding with a 6 oz sinker, the ocean has cleaned up quite a bit just a small amount of cabbage here & There, not enough to interrupt with the fishing. Black fishing has been pretty consistent on the on the North Jetty and along the rocks @ Island Beach State Park., good catches on green crabs and some pretty nice size keepers .
The Ocean Temperature hit a 53 degree mark from the surf.
The Best of Luck To All. We’ll be heading out after 4 pm hopefully as the tide starts to come in the action might be good tonight again. If you guys know any thing about the flats in the bay fishing has been good there as well just before dark and late night .. Guppie
