Report from Sand Spike Bill Guppie Today the Dolphins were eating Bunker and cocktail Blues. I snagged some Bunker when they got in close enough but nothing took it. People using bait were getting sea robins. Dolphins were chasing cocktail blues and adult bunker right on the beach between area 10- area 20 from 6 AM till about 10 AM this morning. Bill thanks for the Pictures of the sunset and the dolphins, Most of all thanks for sharing this report Guppies Fishing Report. Hi Guys & Gals. Today we had bait fish for the most part of the afternoon, tons and tons of sea robins, some as big as 3 lbs, We Hung south of area 23 with Doug and Camper Bill, fished the sea robins till 7:30 PM. From what I was told the sea robins were spread wide open from the Casino Fishing Pier in Seaside heights all the way to the inlet at Island Beach State Park. Camper Bill hooked a big Bluefish and released it, Paco lost a big blue in the wash. As you can see in the picture Sand Spike Bill took, look at the dolphins. All in all it was a gorgeous day by the Ocean. The wind switched to a South East about 10-15 by 7 PM . I was using a fluke rig hooking up with tons of sea Robins, while Don was using a hi lo rig same lots of sea robins, Bill was using a Krocodile lure and hooking up with many sea Robins as well, it was a sea robin blitz, you can actually see the fish busting water. camper Bill filet a few for me, Um mmmm I’ll give it a try. I think with all this bait around and the cock tail blues it’s possible we’ll have some action tomorrow, It’s just a wild guess. All in all we had a fun day, it was better then just watching a dead sea, catching and releasing these sea robins was a lot of fun. Doug Crabbed the bay side and got rewarded with some mighty nice size crabs. this is the best I can do for you Guys & Gals, Now you know We have bait moving, it’s a possibility that some thing might happens. The Best of luck to all . Guppie & Don
