Hi Guys & Gals. yesterday afternoon from area 7- the North Jetty was a dead sea, ops sorry, not so dead, We went through 2 dozen clams cut in half which makes 48 pieces in an hour , we feed the crabs well. With in 5 minutes after wetting our lines the clams were gone. Sand spike Bill had a blast with the big skates, a nice size Bluefish and a short Bass, all released. Our friend Card Shop hooked a few nice Bluefish . The only stripers I saw were our dear friend Paco Wagner - bass 37" 15.lbs, clam
& a nice 29" 8. lbs clams, These fish were not from the surf, they were caught on the north Jetty at Island Beach State Park about 6 :30 as soon as the tide started to drop, I know We were there Real nice fish Paco , Pictures from yesterday are now in my Guppies Photo Gallery. Don hooked a 14” fluke in the inlet on a white buck tail with a white worm, first cast and only fish I saw caught there.
It seems like these bigger Bass are staying with the bunker. I saw some of the bunker that card shop snagged Monday after noon, they were about 15” Huge , some were bigger then a few stripers I have caught. So Far this morning I did get a few reports that it’s slow, just be lucky enough to be at the right time right place , you’ll hook up, & bring a lot of clams or you’ll find your self either going home early or leaving the beach to get some more. Conditions can change, We just have to be lucky to be there at the right time right place. Ocean Temperature is up to 56 degrees this morning , Great ! Now we just have to wait for the fish to realize the water temp is great and to get their butts moving
Till then
Low Tide 1:15 AM
High Tide 7:10 AM
Low Tide 1:15 PM
High Tide 7: 30 PM
