Guppies fishing report Hi Guys & Gals.
It does seem like many anglers lost interest on fishing, well I can’t say I blame them, it has been extremely discouraging going out many of days a week for three months and getting two keepers which just about made the limit 28 ½”,Not to mention the gas prices going up again.

At times I’m not looking to keep the bigger stripers it’s just a challenge I would love to happen, I am hoping if we put the time in sooner or later I’ll hook up with a real nice striper, or possible one of my fellow fishing buddies will while I’m there.
Today the water was a bit brown, holding with an 8-10 oz sinker, the waves were not that big, just a strong current and rough water, which should have be perfect for stripers, which it was but only the rats.
Most of these fish caught today were as tiny as a mans size 9 shoe.
We had some good size skates caught.

I used Grumpys fresh clams I salted a few weeks ago and did just as well hooking up with stripers.
It was gorgeous out by the water, not cold at all, it was just a nice day to be out.

Island Beach was like a ghost town, My guess maybe 6 trucks from area 7 – area 20 @ Island Beach State Park.

Don & I fished with Card Shop & His Friend Johnny, Timmy ( Diamond came a bit later, all together I would say 7 Stripers were caught between 14"- 19", 5 skates , All in all we enjoyed being at the beach fishing with our fellow anglers.
I did post a few pictures in my gallery as always to give you all an idea on the ocean conditions and the size of the stripers that were caught.
if you looking for a nice big fat stripper, stay home they just don't seem to exsist surf fishing, but you'll never know if your not there what can happen??,you need to put the time in, if your looking for a relaxing enjoyable day catching and releasing, Go fishin.

Right now the door prize stripers are staying in to about 30-50' of ocean water.will they come close to the surf?? I just hope some of you anglers are out there if this happens, it can be a one shot deal
Card shop caught a bluefish and got bit off twice yesterday, this tell us the ocean is still warm, WOW bluefish in December, strange .

Till tomorrow,
Good Night to all.
Guppie & Don
