Guppies fishing report Hi Guys & Gals.

I did get a phone call about 7 AM that Bunker came in close at Gillikins along with some stripers.

By the time we got there which was about 8 AM the bunker already moved out in to deeper water.

We hung around for a while with the hopes they might come back in close to the suds, but this did not happen, they just vanished..

We drove to area 7 and tried fishing with bait, the ocean was still to rough with strong currents, to much grass, we could not hold again with an 8 oz sinker, with in the lines was washing in .

About 9 AM we drove to the inlet at Island Beach State Park, hung around for a while, there were about 15 or less anglers fishing the inlet, no luck with either blues or fluke.

We decided to drive about 500 yards north of the jetty, fished with clams and bunker, notta, ocean was still to rough, in 20 we just gave up.

Headed back north all the way down to area 7 to look for either bunker of fish, we found a few pods of bunker, I called Poppy Bill because they were in close..

Both Poppy & Don snagged some live bunker, fished the bunker for a while , but no luck.

We decided to head back to Gillikins once again to see if these bunker came back, sure enough there were tons of bunker, many Dolphins splashing in to them, breaking up the school, the Dolphins came as close to the second wave at dead low tide.

I was told that Dennis D-Mag Hooked a nice striper south of Island Beach State Park, second hand information , it was 51 lbs.

If so good Luck Dennis and real nice fish Dennis.

Just a warning, if your heading to Island Beach after dark, please be very careful, We have a full moon, the water levels were all the way up to the dunes, more so at Gillikins.

Other areas as well from area  7-south  to the inlet l had high water levels.

It was georgous at Island Beach State Park Today, the sun was shinning most of the day.

we decided to leave the beach at 3:45 7 hours and a 1/2 tank of Gas was more then enough for the day .

The Best Of Luck To All.

 Guppie & Don
