 Hi Guys & Gals.
Since we all know the fishing conditions are still the same, most stripers that are being caught are shorts.
I have received many e-mail anglers asking if it's worth going out, the answer to this question is, it's only worth how much time you have and how much your in to just catching and releasing. Some anglers are out this morning hooking up with stripers now, all shorts .
Are there keepers?? , I have seen many anglers hooking up with lots of 28 and a little bigger stripers, but for them it was not worth there time to weigh them in, like Grumpys Bait shop, they are all die hard anglers there, they refuse to post a keeper report unless they see a fish which I can respect, that's why Don when He was getting fish between 28"-31" weighed them in, see inf is believing.
The Ocean is still a bit dirty this morning, the wind is South West, Holding with a 5-6 oz sinker, Ocean Temp 47 degrees.
Don Has a docs appointment at 11, I have one at 2 PM, We might take a ride later on this afternoon, if so I will up date.
It's going to hit 52 degrees this afternoon, so if you can and want to take a ride and give it a try, Go For It.
I was told second hand information, the fishing has turned on why North of us ?? if this is so, we still have a chance on a good 2008 season, if so these Stripers will either stay out in deeper water or we might get lucky, the only way to get lucky is to put the time in to fishing in.
