Hi Guys & gals. We started off driving on 23 south, drove all the way down by the inlet. We did see a anglers netting mullet, very few in the wash , maybe 2-3 dozen three throws. I was told by many anglers early this morning, bunker, Mullet, and peanut bunker were beaching, one female angler started to throw metal, she hooked a small bluefish, then all the sudden all hell broke lose, this lasted a short time, small blues came in to the pocket. No one was on the North Jetty, very few anglers hanging around the Jetty.
We drove out on to area 7, spoke to a few anglers who said a few had some short stripers, a few fishing with mullet on a mullet rig had some small blues. Some keeper were caught north of area 13 and 7 in the am this morning, the wind was N-West. As soon as the wind switched to a south East the fishing compleatly turned of. We ended at Gillikins fishing with clams, fished from 2 Pm till about 6 PM, we hooked a few searobins, these babies were BIg, Don Lost a nice striper in the wash, that was it. I hooked a 25" striper and released it. About 5:30 PM we got a few calls that North of Gillikins had some good Striper action most shorts with some keepers caught. It seems to be #17 avas with a black teaser( red Gills )was the lure to use, black bombers, deadly dicks , and Needle fish-From what I was told the fish were hitting the black red Gills and black teaser pretty much so.> Lots of white water once the tide started to come in which is great bass water. In order why many of anglers are hooking up is because of the cell phones, each one made sure their friends were called when they got the action, if you don't have a connection you have to fo fishing your self, find the fish. Cell phones are good for anglers who have many of friends who fish, they call who they want to call, God help if you call some of your own friends.
We just continue to fish where were were. We aways manage to find fish when there here. perfect Bass water this afterfnoon, I can bet any one fishing tonight will hook up.
Ocean Temp was up to 69.8 degrees today, clean holding with a 8 oz sinker at high tide, a 6 oz at low tide, Sun and Clouds this afternoon. The Best Of Luck To All. Guppie & Don
