Hi Guys & Gals. Same as yesterday it's turning out to be a gorgeous fall day along with plenty of stripers being caught along the shoreline, from Bayhead to Island Beach State park. Clams and lures are both productive, all depends on where you fish. yesterday We went through 4 dozen of clams, all in all we had a good time catching and releasing, no keepers for us yet, but I am sure it will happen. We have bait moving beyond reach, this bait can come in at any giving time, Right place right time??.
I would advise you who are bait fishing to bring along at least 2 dozen of clams. searobing are out in full force, something small is stealing bait, not crabs, could be croakers. The weekend is coming, if you can get out and buy your clams early a head of time, keep them on ice or salt them , rain or shine it looks like this striper fishing might be a on going event, go prepared.
I keep getting questiions on where I should fish, where are all these fish being caught, even if I did give you a area, it means nothing, these fish are moving, we have not fished the same spot all week and still manage to have bad days and good day. Monday we fished a area which had stripers, yesterday fished the same area & had to move, no hits , hoping the stripers would still be at the same area, Silly people with spot burning?? No such thing. Just keep on moving till you find the fish if you have to, or get lucky and find a area where they are just hanging out . both shorts and keepers are being caught . Rain or shine we'll have stripers I hope this weekend, just bring along extra clothing and rain gear.
The Best Of Luck To All. Guppie & Don.
I have a Docs visit at 10 after that we'll be on the beach by 11:30, I am all ready packed and ready to go. Gumpys has plenty of clams this morning, I am sure he'll need another load or two before this weekend. if any of you want to submit a report fine, if not that's fine as well.
