  Guppies fishing report

Hi Guys & Gals.

We arrived at Island Beach State Park at about 1:40 PM this afternoon, drove in on area 7 drove to the inlet, I spoke to a few anglers who said the only action there was from area 7 - the inlet was a few short fluke from the surf, at the inlet at the North jetty a good amount of bluefish were caught on the tip, all the way out as far as you can go, birds working cocktail blues up to about 3-4 lbs.

Nothing at all any closer then this other then birds working way beyond reach in scattered areas.

One keeper fluke was caught by pine man Mike, and two black fish by two anglers, The flies were a little bothersome by the North Jetty, but North of area 7 they were pretty bad.

Last week a mussel bed broke and has been just hanging out on the sand by the pocket, the smell was terrible, up until about 4 PM the wind was switching to a N-East back to a North West like a yo-yo.

We drove back out by area 23, on the way out birds were working a few fish busting water, again to far out of reach to hook up.

Just a reminder, there was a lady Netting- crabs in the ocean these crabs are huge, one problem, please leave these crabs alone, they are all spawning, huge sacks on their back ends, as I explained to her she should release these breaders, female crabs, I showed her the sacks and explained to her, Not a problem she thanked me and released the crabs.

As We were heading out of the Island Beach State Park did get a few calls that the cocktail Blues did indeed started busting water in the inlet, all about 2-3 lbs  range right where we were all parked, it did last for a good time, these reports about the cocktail blues in the inlet came from a few of my most reliable sources, which wanted us to come back, we were just to tired and did not want to waste any more gas, this was about 7:00 PM Just before dark.

There will be other days .

What ever happened north of area 7, I did not get any reports at all.

The Best Of Luck To All.

Augie, Brenda, Don & I Left just about 20 minutes to soon.
