Hi guys & Gals. We took a ride to Island Beach State Park, it was absolutely gorgeous out. The crabbing was excellent on the bay side, lots of big blue claws are around.. Lots of small snapper were in the inlet and on the ocean side yesterday, some anglers were fluke fishing with them, Timmy first cast got a snapper, put it on a fluke rig, first cast got a 20" fluke in the inlet at Island Beach State park..
Fluke fishing has picked up on the ocean side, Mike got a 19" on a white bucktail with a white gulp first cast . We'll be heading out about 1 PM and will be there for a while unless the wind is west. The wind picked up late afternoon a heavy south, after that all the fishing turned off in the inlet.. Timmy Thanks for that fluke, I placed it in foil, added butter, salt & paper place it on the grill, had rice with it , Um was it good, enough for two meals.
Thank you Doug for the crabs.
Good Luck To All. Guppie
