Speaking of anglers it did not seem to be a good weekend at all as far as the fishing went, of course I would never be able to know what went on with the fishing, some anglers might have hooked up but are not weighing the catches in.
From what I was told by very reliable anglers some who fished IBSP from 6 AM - 7 PM yesterday, from Gillikins to the north Jetty from different anglers, not one reported seeing a Striper caught, again we all can't be in the same place at one time.
Fishing is slow.

I was told that the boats did very well with catch of 20-40 " stripers while snagging bunker.
My Cousin Frankie Perna fished the Casino fishing Pier with his wife to be for two solid days, saw plenty of schools of bunker, no fish on these bunker, they were just a bit out of reach from the pier, he did not even hook a small bluefish.
Today the same story, lots of bunker about 1/4 mile out along the shore line.

I have not been to get to the beach since Friday, Saturday I had a birthday party to go to, My cousin Frankie’s wife to be sons 13th, yesterday we had a family barbeque at my house, every one left about 6 PM, 7 PM I had Frankie and Lilly over for a nice hot baked ziti dinner, today I have another barbeque at my sons house, so this explains why I am not fishing, usually holidays like this I try my best to stay away from the beach with so many people out there..

Who knows when or if these fish will come close to shore, What We is need some rough water, maybe a heavy North East wind to get things moving again.

I did get a few calls that it's another day of a dead sea, this can change, just keep on hoping .
