Just before Dark kos Hooked a nice good eating 28 ¼ “ striper, then We were all getting big skates.
After dark the striper fishing turned on, you had to cast behind the bar, Don hooked a 24” then a short time He hooked a 28 ¾ “ one, which was weighed in at Grumpys Bait shop, burden of proof, normally we do not weigh in small stripers, But the old Grump won’t take any one’s word unless he see a body, which I think is a great idea.

We have a ton of bait heading our direction, so far today lots of small bluefish were being caught in Monmouth County, I heard mixed reports some say Stripers were caught some say not a striper which is Hard for me to believe, all second hand information?? I try posting most of the time what I see with my own two eyes, it keeps me out of trouble.
It seems like just before and after Dark the Striper fishing turns on, area 21 started hitting in to a few stripers the same time We did.
Lavallette had the same, from what I was told most fish in Lavallette were all between 25-27 ½ inches, all were being caught on clams.
IMO I think if We did stay and fished another hour or two we would have had a lot more fish , I was way to tired.
We had anglers from Gillikins all the way to south of area 7 keeping in touch, most of the anglers We knew headed back to where Don & I were fishing, it was just a nice day to spend on the beach.
I will not be heading out before 4 PM tomorrow afternoon, I have a little medical problem that has to be looked in to ASAP, I’m hurting a little bit? And not feeling so great, not my heart LOL, My hand ?

I forgot to mention for those of you how fish the Seaside Heights area , Herring ave has been hot at night after dark and till about 12 AM.
