Hi Guys & Gals.

With this lady being pulled  through the mud for weeks, I want to congratulate her, She lost the world record for not holding the pole ??? Ummmmmmm,  That's Ok , I'm sure she will win the The Fisherman magazine's Dream Boat Contest after Oswald passed a lie detector test,

And by the way they even questioned her on all the other fish , she passed ""On all three fish, with flying colors,'

polygraph questions about the other fish she's entered into the contest, which he said were fair game under the contest's rules.

jealousy is the rule of all evil.

Opinions are fine on web sites, calling names and acting like a bunch of little old ladies at a PTA meeting is childish.

We all have skeletons in our closet.

I wish Monica the best of luck and hopefully she'll catch another world record next year.

Hopefully she'll take better care of the fish, and leave the hook in the mouth.LOL

I do believe she caught the fish and was not by a netter giving it  to her.

Again, Congratulations Monica!

Fluke disqualified as world record catch

After weeks of speculation and heated debate, the fate of a potential world record for summer flounder is settled.

The 24.3-pound fluke caught Aug. 17 by Monica Oswald of Neptune has been disqualified by the International Game Fish Association. But the fish has been certified as the leading fluke in The Fisherman magazine's Dream Boat Contest after Oswald passed a lie detector test, executive editor Jim Hutchinson Jr. said Wednesday.

""Her testimony was that she rested the rod on the gunnel while fighting the fish,'' said Jason Schratwieser of the IGFA's world records division. ""That is a rules infraction.''

The disqualification becomes effective 60 days from the date the fish was caught, Schratwieser said.

The catch has been the focus of heated debates, where everything from the condition of the fish to how it was handled after it was caught has been picked apart.

As a result, Oswald … as well as anyone associated with the story … has been subjected to personal attacks and, in some cases, threats.

When Oswald submitted the catch for the Fisherman contest … which is open only to subscribers of the magazine … she was asked to take the polygraph examination as soon as possible because of the controversy, Hutchinson said, noting the magazine has 55,000 subscribers.

She never hesitated, Hutchinson said.

""We owed it to those 55,000 people to do due diligence'' with regard to her entry,
Hutchinson said. The rules provide for a polygraph to be requested of any contestant, he said.

The issue-specific exam was conducted Sept. 13 by an examiner the magazine has used previously, Hutchinson said, whom they sought out through the American Polygraph Association, a professional association for examiners. The examiner is a licensed private investigator and has been used by police agencies and in court cases throughout the state, Hutchinson said. The magazine paid more than $500 for the test, he said.

The examiner's name was not released.

The issue-specific exam is used because ""what I've been told it is admissible in court of law in New Jersey if a waiver is signed before the exam is given stating that whatever results come out of that exam can be used,'' Hutchinson said. That applies only to the specific issue the test is being conducted for, he said.

Oswald, who was videotaped and audiotaped during the exam, was questioned not only about the 24.3-pound fluke, but the two other fish she has entered in the Dream Boat contest this year: a 4.6-pound winter flounder, which is in first place in that category of the contest, and a 13.3-pound blackfish, which is currently fourth in its category. Each fish in the standings earns the contestant a certain number of chances in a random drawing at the end of the contest year. Each contestant is allowed one fish in each category.

The prize package this year consists of a Triton 225 center console outfitted with a 225-horsepower Mercury engine, Lowrance GPS, sonar and VHF radio, a pair of Penn rod and reel combinations, and other gifts.

""We did not tell her in advance that we were going to ask her that,'' Hutchinson said, referring to the polygraph questions about the other fish she's entered into the contest, which he said were fair game under the contest's rules.

""On all three fish, she passed with flying colors,'' Hutchinson said.

Oh BTW, I saw that all the votings some anglers voted more then 15 times against the fish being the worlds record.
Next poll I put up if I see you vote more then 1 time you'll be suspended from this web site, Talking about cheating ?
See We all have skeletons ?
