Hi Guys & Gals.

Ocean Water Up TO A Nice 52 Degrees This Afternoon From The Surf. We fished the south end of IBSP from 4 PM – 7:45, got a few short Bass all in the 19-20” range on Grumpys clams.
Speaking of Grumpys Clams, I have notice after working in bait shops for a few years, the clams were always totally disgusting, with all this black oily junk in side each one, Grumpys clams are clean, a little sand in some ?? I wonder why this is?? Has any one notice this, all last year the same, no stinky smell to them, what ever your doing you old Grump don’t change your clam man..
This after noon a ton of black gnats were all over the place, they did not seem to bother us, they were staying low by the water line?
I woke up at 6 AM couldn’t sleep so I went in my shop to tidy it up, and I had the same all over my garage doors, hundreds of these black gnats.
The skates are here to annoy us as well, they were plentiful, we ran out of clams so we left, we wanted to stay till just after dark.
Now the good news, the beach was like a ghost town three trucks from area 7- area 20 .
Now Better news, I was e-mailed by a few anglers who do not want their name mentioned, Weakfish have been hitting by oyster creek and anglers on Kayaks have been scoring at night as well..
