Was out winter flounder fishing for the past few days. Saturday we had 17 keepers, Sunday we had 8 keepers, and yesterday we only had 3 keepers. The water temp yesterday was 63 degrees!! up from 59 in just two days. This probably is why we only had 3 keepers as the fish probably moved to cooler water...
As for STRIPERS, we saw plenty of them on our fish finder. We weren't fishing for them and we didn't get any. BUT we saw a keeper caught and there were plenty of people catching shorts from the banks.
All of the striper we marked were holding in the channels, mostly in 11 feet of water. If you are going to fish for these guys I would use a lure that gets deep and can be fished slowly.
