HI Guys & Gals. I hope this report will help some anglers for fishing this weekend, just dress warm Stripers have hit our local bays, Pelican Island has been hot for a few days , right now stripers are ranging in this area from 24”-27 “ Spring have left for a few days , it’s like old man winter is taking a few more days to stay with us just to torcher us LOL . From now till Mid April we’ll have a big change in weather conditions from gorgeous days to cold days like today, what we do is deal with it. 5 Days till spring . Most striper action both at Oyster Creek & Pelican Island are being caught on blood worms, , some on clam balls , and some on pink Fin-S Because of the small area these fish are being caught, I will not give a certain area, either on Kayaks, boats, or land you’ll hook up. The ocean is still a bit to cold for any decent size stripers to go hunting for food in, they will hang in warmer water. Some anglers are hooking in to some decent flounder in the bay, it’s still catch & release, release them for the netter so they will meet their 500 lbs a day limit, Just being a wise A$$. BTW, if you have trouble getting blood worms, a secret I will share, if you can get a hold of some big earth worms, they work just as well, but remember, they don't live long in salt water, old timmers on the docks at Island heights gave me a few last year, I caught my first winter flounder ever on their earth worms. just passing this on Well my dear friends that’s about all I have for today. .Till then ??
