Hi Guys & Gals. We just got back from fishing IBSP, Gillikins, We fished with our dear friend card shop, Don & I fished from 43 PM – 7:30 PM, nothing bit lots of sear Robins of all sizes, Don ones hooked a double header on a high low rig with clams, a tiny fluke with a Sea Robin LOL. The wind was blowing 10-15 south, a bit chilly there, ocean has picked up a bit holding at low tide with a 6-8 oz sinker. I just received an E-Mail from an old Customer Matt Rosier, He writes (Hi....
You probably do not remember me but, I used to go into Jersey Joes with my brother for bait back in 2000. Anyway, I'm pretty sure you are the MaryAnn that worked in there. I tried your meatballs, and next to my wife’s, they were the best I ever tasted! I always would request them after trying them the first time. I even brought my wife down to try them the weekend we got engaged on IBSP, She loved them too. But anyway, I just wanted to mention that and say Hi. I hope to run into you on the beach someday. I fish when I can. Probably come Saturday evening for croakers and that elusive striper. It’s a 90-minute ride for us but my friends and we love it.
WE WANT MORE MEATBALLS!!!! Lol
Matt Rosier
When I first started working for Jersey Joe’s every fall I made home made chili and meat ball for meat ball sandwiches, and home made chicken soup, one week I mad bacala, man am I a great cook, never had left overs .. I often wonder what ever happen to you matt, Guess what, I swear, before we left for the beach I made my meat balls, had them cooking in the same crock pot I used for Jersey Joe’s, That’s What we had for dinner tonight, now Pasta & Meatball with my home made spaghetti sauce. It was nice to hear from you. and yes I do remember you & your wife. Send me an e-mail if your going to come to the Jersey shore, I’ll make sure you bring along some meat balls to the beach, I promise, I love compliments LOL. Getting back to the fishing, , A good amount of anglers were out fishing this afternoon at Gillikins, they started to come in about 6 Pm, all conditions looked great for fishing, but as far as we can see it looked like all sea robins. No Signs of any bait off shore at all, no birds working , Mmmmm , I have no idea what happened by the south end of Island Beach State Park with the south wind blowing 15-20 thought it might be a good idea to fish the North end of IBSP. Good Luck to all. Guppie
