 Hi Guys & Gals.
Looks like today is going to be another summer like day, air temperatures in the high 70’s – low 80’s
To top the good new off, we’ll have a light east wind, I think today is going to be another good fishing day, all conditions are perfect.
We started off with a short bluefish blitz at area 23 at 9 AM yesterday, it lasted a short time from what I was told by many anglers, a few stripers mixed in with the bluefish, it was pretty much slow after that, a few fish here and there.
All the Sudden at Gillikens the action started up again, a non stop 4 hour bluefish blitz @ Gillikins from 3PM-7 PM , for some reason after the blue fishing slowed down, big stripers were just cruising back and forth in the wash, not feeding nor taking to any artificial plug.
Bluefish were spitting out whole squid.
My Cousin Frankie Perna from Belleville , fished the Casino Pier in Seaside Heights two days with out much action at all, Hey Frankie, we’ll fish this coming weekend cuz. and kick some ??? Bass Thursday &.Friday last week which is history, we had two great days of fishing , looks like the fish took a break after filling up, then started feeding again.
We have lots of bluefish and Stripers heading our way, the only way to catch a fish is to be out there if you can .
I could be wrong, using common sense, we’ll have a great day today. I will keep you all informed, if we’re on the beach and if we have any good action I will pass the word on to the new Grumpys bait & Tackle in seaside Park .You can always give them a call I just added a few more pictures in my photo Gallery
Thanks Timmy for the pictures and information. The sad part of this blitz was I missed it as well as many other anglers did, maybe there were about 15 anglers or less who were there, most anglers headed back home . .ALWAYS REMEMBER Good friends are like stars.
