Hi Guys & Gals. While fishing at A-7 Yesterday this is the bluefish my dear friend Card shop hooked on bunker.
Today we had a few bluefish come through the inlet about 3 lbs. The video below was an angler who fished the bay side @ IBSO on the tip if the North Jetty at dead low tide hooked this striper on a grumpys clam, nice fish. We left the Inlet headed toward Gillikins to soak a few clams from Grumpys. A few short stripers were caught earlier this morning at Gillikins after that the only fish we saw caught as far south and north as we can see was two cock tail blues our fishing buddy Poppy( Bill hooked on a mullet rig with a mullet. It was absolutely gorgeous out today. between area 23 and the inlet we had a lot of garbage broken clams that washed in, so be careful in some areas at high tide by 23 and the North Jetty. Off Shore lots of Bunker showed up, in huge schools in about 30 feet of water, not a fish on them. Bascially it was a bummer day as far as fishing, as far as the weather it was worth every second we spent on the beach .
Till Tomorrow. The Best Of Luck To All. Guppie & Don.

Sunday May 011, 2008 Report from The Beach Haven Charter Fishing Association
Here is this week’s fishing report for the Beach Haven Charter Fishing Association.
The attached picture is of Patrick Sounders and Alex Bayer with their catch of big bluefish caught in Great Bay while fishing with Captain Fran Verdi.
Jim Hutchinson Sr.
The Beach Haven Charter Fishing Association reports some decent catches of bluefish and sea bass despite recent bad weather.
Captain Adam Nowalsky of the “Karen Ann” out of Great Bay Marina reports sea bass are moving onto the local wrecks with some jumbos up to 4-pounds being caught.
He has also heard of some large weakies in the back creeks of Great Bay. Captain Fran Verdi on “Fish the Drop Off” had Patrick Souders and Alex Bayer out last week and did well trolling for bluefish in Great Bay.
The best action was on the outgoing tide on blues in the 8-10 pound class. Another trip with Bert Saum, Sean Carey, and Chris Flowers only produced one bluefish along with plenty of dogfish.
Northeast winds and cold rain cooled off the fishing. Additional information on the association can be found at www.fishbeachhaven.com
