Hi Guys & Gals.
We arrived at Island Beach State park about 6:30 AM, fished the whole
Island From Gillikins to the Inlet.
About 8:30 AM we drove to a little south of area 23, spotted some birds
working, Don started plugging, manage to catch 2 small 2 lb cock tail blues.
This event lasted for about 15 minutes.
Lots of cabbage at low tide, lots of eel grass at high tide.
We started heading north of the Island , stopped to chat with a angler who
was lucky enough to hook a nice fat fluke 22" while fishing with a bunker chunk for
Bass, Real Nice Fluke .
We drove the whole Island twice, hoping to find some more action, notta, Don
plugged in many different areas.
We left the beach about 11 AM.
All in all it was a gorgeous morning at Island Beach State Park.
The ocean was a bit rough at high tide, as the tide went out it was
much more fishable if you can get away from the cabbage and eel grass.
Hopefully as the weather channels are saying the wind is going to switch to a
west by tomorrow.
Today we had a S-S-East wind .
The ocean temperature was 69 degrees at 10 AM.
The best of Luck To All.
Guppie & Don
